COMO - a German consulting firm, is
undertaking capacity development project wit the Ministry of Women
Development in Pakistan. TR is one of the national partner of COMO.
Under this partnership a survey based study was conducted for GTZ-COMO with following objectives

assess the level of risks and vulnerability on women effected by
the earthquake in selected areas of AJK & NWFP especially focusing
on:

Women
ability to access relief goods

Security
issues of women

Psycho-social
issues e.g. divided family members into separate relief camps, etc

Status
of women's inclusion in the decision-making and service
delivery
-
protection
and security of land and property under women headed
household

To
analyze & document the effect of the disaster on women from a
gender and socio-cultural perspective within the
relief, rescue and
rehabilitation phase
